I-95 North Traffic Snarled After Truck Carrying Wood Planks Crashes

PHILADELPHIA — A tractor trailer hauling wooden planks crashed on Interstate 95 north in Philadelphia, slowing northbound traffic significantly.

According to Fox 29, the crash occurred at about 1:15 p.m. on the highway, between Girard and the Vine Street Expressway.

NBC10 reports a truck crashed through the middle divider, spilling wooden planks across the highway.

The truck then struck a van, and one person in that van was rescued by emergency responders, according to the outlets.

PennDOT traffic cameras show I-95 north traffic is moving, but at a very slow pace as of 3:30 p.m.

There is no word on injuries, what caused the crash, or when the scene will be cleared.
