The work is part of a $36.8 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and 23 bridges from U.S. 1 South (City Avenue) to Interstate 676 (Vine Street Expressway) in Philadelphia.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.
