Lane Closing On City Avenue For St Joe's Bridge Costruction
A lane on City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 will be closed fully from Oct. 2 to Oct. 9 due to bridge construction, according to PennDOT.
PHILADELPHIA — PennDOT will close southbound City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 near St. Joseph's University for a week due to bridge work.
According to PennDOT, A.P. Construction Inc. will begin bridge construction of the St. Joseph’s University pedestrian bridge next week on City Avenue.
Crews will be closing the southbound lane of City Avenue Monday, Oct. 2 through Monday, Oct. 9.

The affected portion of road is between Cardinal Avenue and Lapsley Lane.
The closure will be in effect 24/7, PennDOT said.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
