Lanes Closing On US 1 For Bridge Inspection, Verizon Work: PennDOT

The Verizon work will last through late July, forcing weekday lane closures, while the bridge project is set to be done by Friday next week.

PHILADELPHIA — Two projects will force lane closures on U.S. Route 1 in Philadelphia, just outside Lower Merion Township, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said a conduit construction project from Verizon and inspection of St. Joseph's University's pedestrian bridge will lead to lane closures on the road starting Monday.

The Verizon project will have lane closures weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, July 28, while the St. Joe's project will only force closures through Friday, July 14.
