Lauryn Hill Postpones Philly Concert To Rest Voice

The hip hop singer-songwriter has pushed her Wells Fargo Center concert to next month on the advice of medical experts.

PHILADELPHIA — Lauryn Hill fans in the Philadelphia area will have to wait to see her perform at the Wells Fargo Center, as the star has postponed Monday's concert.

Hill, a founding member of the hip hop group Fugees, posted on social media that she is resting her voice.

"On the advice of my physicians, I have no choice but to postpone the show tomorrow," Hill said. "I need to rest my voice to prevent any more serious strain or damage to my vocal cords."

She was set to play the arena Monday but will now play Wells Fargo Center on Nov. 25.

According to the Wells Fargo Center, ticket holders should to hold onto their tickets for the rescheduled date.

All tickets will be honored.

The tour is a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the release of "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," which came out in 1998.

The album won five Grammy Awards and earned 10 Grammy nominations.
