Man, 59, Found Fatally Injured In Philadelphia Jail Cell
The man, an inmate at Philadelphia's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, was treated by medics but died soon after, police said.
PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 59-year-old inmate was found dead in a jail cell Sunday morning at Philadelphia's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Officers were called to the hospital around 9:15 a.m., after which they found the man unconscious with blunt-force trauma to the head, according to police.
The man was immediately treated by medics but was declared dead just before 9:45 a.m., police said.

His cellmate, a year 25-year-old man, was "promptly removed from the cell and relocated to a different area within the prison," according to police.
