Man Arrested After 2 Women Shot During Eagles Victory Parade: Reports

Police said the shooting happened when a woman and her boyfriend attempted to cut in line for a porta-potty, according to a report.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A man is in custody after authorities said he shot two women during the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl victory parade on Friday, according to police.

Authorities said the shooting happened around 2:35 p.m. in the 2300 block of the Ben Franklin Parkway. While the incident occurred along the event's route, the parade had passed the location an hour earlier.

According to a Philadelphia Inquirer report, the shooting happened when a 27-year-old woman and her boyfriend attempted to cut in line for a porta-potty. A fight broke out when a person punched the boyfriend and someone in the crowd fired a gun, striking the woman in the leg and a 20-year-old bystander in her thigh.

Both victims are currently in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, police said.

According to Action News, police identified the shooter as 28-year-old Brandon Ramos. He's facing several charges, including aggravated assault and simple assault.
