Man Charged In Missing Child's Death Investigation, Child IDed: Philly Cops
Police charged a man, 30, with murder and more in connection with the presumed death of a 4-year-old child, whose mother is also charged.

PHILADELPHIA — After the mother of a missing 4-year-old child presumed dead was charged with murder, authorities in Philadelphia have now charged a man with murder and related crimes in connection with the child's death.
Philadelphia Police said Kevin Spencer, 30, has been charged with murder, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, criminal conspiracy, and more.
Spencer's charges were announced the day after Dominique Bailey, 28, was charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and more crimes in connection with her child's death.

According to police, Bailey's 4-year-old child, identified as Damari Carter, is still missing.
The investigation began Dec. 30 when Action News brought up a tip they received about a missing child to Philadelphia Police.

While the child was not reported missing with the department's Special Victims Unit, investigators immediately starting looking into the child's circumstances.
According to police, Bailey's family members told police Bailey informed them her child was fatally struck by a vehicle.
However, police found no evidence of this.
Bailey was found Thursday and taken in for questioning.
Additionally, authorities executed a search warrant at a Reno Street address Friday, which led to Spencer being taken in for questioning.
