Man Dressed As Woman Tried To Abduct Teen: Police

The suspect was described as a black male who was wearing a black dress, pink lipstick, and a wig, Philadelphia Police said.

PHILADELPHIA – A teenager was nearly abducted Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia by a male who police said was dressed as a woman, according to police.

According to police, the attempted abduction occurred at about 1 p.m. at 24th Street and Snyder Avenue Sunday, Aug. 20.

Police said an unknown black male between the ages of 30 and 40 driving a black Ford Explorer with tinted windows and a unknown license plate pulled up to a 13-year-old male.

The man told the teen to get in the car, police said.

The teen refused and the suspect drove off, heading east on Snyder Avenue, police said.

The male was slightly heavy and was wearing a black dress with a brown wig and pink lipstick, police said.

No arrests were made, police said.
