Man Flung Off Overpass, Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Philly: Reports

The crash threw him onto the street below, according to news outlets.

PHILADELPHIA — A man was killed after a motorcycle crash threw him off an overpass Monday night in Philadelphia, according to reports.

Karl Kirschner, 33, of Pottstown, struck a guardrail just after 11 p.m. on the I-95 South off-ramp to I-676 West, according to CBS News and FOX 29.

Kirschner was flung onto the roadway below, by 2nd and Callowhill streets. He was still wearing his motorcycle helmet when police found him.

He was brought to the hospital, where he later died.

No other injuries were reported.

State Police are investigating the crash.
