Man Sought For 2 Deadly Tow Truck Driver Shootings In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — A man deemed armed and dangerous by Philadelphia Police is at large and wanted in connection with two separate shootings involving tow truck drivers, both of which led to the drivers' deaths.

Najee Williams, 27, is wanted for the fatal shooting of David Garcia-Morales, 20, on Dec. 22, 2025, and the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Aaron Whitfield on Jan. 11.

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office approved charges of murder, firearm violations, conspiracy, possessing instruments of crime, and recklessly endangering another person for Williams last week.

The December shooting happened on the 4200 block of Torresdale Avenue. At 12:17 p.m. that day, police were called to the area and found Garcia-Morales inside a 2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty towing vehicle. Garcia-Morales was shot in the neck and thigh.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he died from his injuries on Dec. 26, 2025.

Whitfield was shot Jan. 11 on the 2100 block of Knorr Street. Police were called to the area at about 7:52 p.m. and found Whitfield suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body inside a tow truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old woman was also shot in the left leg during the same incident. She was taken to Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital in stable condition.

Williams is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is cautioned not to approach him.

A $20,000 reward is available for information that leads to Williams' arrest and conviction.
