Man Sought For Assault During Venezuelan Rally In Philly

Philadelphia Police said the suspect pepper-sprayed a 22-year-old man during a rally for Venezuela in Center City last month.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police are asking for help finding a man they said pepper-sprayed another man during a Venezuelan rally in early January.

The incident occurred at about 1:48 p.m. Jan. 10 on the 800 block of Market Street, police said.

According to police, the suspect, seen above, blocked the path of a 22-year-old man, then assaulted him with pepper spray during a rally for Venezuela.

The victim suffered blurred vision and eye irritation as a result. He was taken to Pennsylvania Hospital for treatment.

Police described the suspect as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a red hooded jacket, tan pants, and red and black Salomon XT-6 sneakers.
