Moped Driver Killed In Collision With Pickup Truck: Police

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 20-year-old man was killed Tuesday following a crash involving a moped and a pickup truck in Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood, police said.

Police say the collision happened at Aramingo Avenue and Tioga Street at about 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday when a Dodge Ram truck was headed north on Aramingo Avenue before turning left onto Tioga Street and hitting the southbound moped, according to NBC 10 Philadelphia.

The moped driver, who has been identified as 20-year-old Jadin Samuel Aviles, was taken to Temple University Hospital where he later died, according to media reports.
