Murder, Arson Charges Filed In 2017 West Philly Killing: Police
A suburban woman is accused of stabbing a man to death then burning his body in Philadelphia back in September 2017, police said.

PHILADELPHIA — An arrest has been made and charged filed in a 2017 West Philadelphia killing, according to Philadelphia Police.
Philadelphia Police announced Cheyenn Hurt, 24, of West Chester, has been charged with murder, unlawful restraint, criminal conspiracy, possessing instruments of crime, causing-risking a catastrophe, criminal trespass, tamper with evidence, burglary, and arson.
Hurt is accused of killing Rephael Brandon Swan, 29, on Sept. 9 at a home on the 7500 block of Overbrook Street, police said.

Officers were called to the area for a homicide and found Swan the basement stabbed multiple times and burned.
Hurt was arrested by Philadelphia Police at about 6:30 a.m.on Friday, Aug. 16 at 1801 North Hill Drive, Norristown.

She has been denied bail and was remanded to the Riverside Correctional Facility, court records show.
A preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 4, according to court documents.
