Murder, More Charges Filed In July 2024 Convenience Store Killing
Philadelphia Police said Siddeeq Shakoor, 43, shot and killed Kenneth Kennedy-McLeod, 37, inside a convenience store last summer.

PHILADELPHIA — Authorities in Philadelphia have taken a man into custody and charged him in connection with a July 2024 killing, police said.
Siddeeq Shakoor, 43, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with murder, robbery, firearm violations, and more crimes.
The charges stem from a July 11, 2024 killing.

Police were called to the 1500 block of Pratt Street at about 12:18 a.m. that day for reports of a person with a gun and a man down on the highway.
There, police found 37-year-old Kenneth Kennedy-McLeod, of the 2000 block of East Lehigh Avenue, suffering from gunshot wounds to both shoulders inside a convenience store.

Kennedy-McLeod was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:43 a.m.
