Nearly 100 Philly Public School Virtual Due To Staffing Shortages

The School District of Philadelphia Monday night said more schools would be shifting to virtual learning, bringing the total to 98.

PHILADELPHIA — Nearly 100 School District of Philadelphia Schools have shifted to virtual learning as the district deals with staffing issues related to the surge in coronavirus cases.

The district Monday night said four more schools will be learning fully virtually through Friday.

This brings the number of schools that have canceled in-person learning for the week to 98.

Any changes to in-person learning schools based on overnight data will be shared with families and staff at the impacted schools by 6 a.m. each day.
