New Amtrak Services To, From Philly Start At $5

Amtrak announced its new "Night Owl Fare" options, and trips include rides to and from Philadelphia as low as $5.

PHILADELPHIA — Travelers to and from Philadelphia have a new, inexpensive transit option as Amtrak announced fares as low as $5 for its new services.

"Night Owl Fares" offers $5 to $20 fares to and from various cities, including Philadelphia, during overnight hours.

Trains used in the service leave between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., according to Amtrak.

Service to Philadelphia from New York City is just $10.

Philadelphia to Washington DC trips are $10 and Philly to Baltimore/Washington International Airport is just $5.

"This is a great option for travelers returning from concerts, plays, sporting events or those who prefer later or earlier departures," Amtrak said.
