New Mass Coronavirus Vaccination Site Opens In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Another mass coronavirus vaccination site is up and running in Philadelphia.
Officials Monday opened the city's fourth standing mass vaccine clinic.
The new site is located at Simon Gratz High School Mastery Charter, 1798 W. Hunting Park Ave.

Philadelphia Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley, Philadelphia Managing Director Tumar Alexander, and Simon Gratz High School Mastery Charter Principal Le'Yondo Dunn were on hand to open the site Monday.
This new site is part of the city’s plan to make the coronavirus vaccine as accessible as possible in traditionally underserved neighborhood.

The Health Department is committed to opening more city-run clinics that can vaccinate up to 500 people each per day.

As of Monday, 321,000 first doses of the vaccine have been administered in Philadelphia and 131,086 second doses have been administered.
