New 'Rocky' Movie Casting Philadelphia Locals
The "Rocky" franchise is tapping Philly locals for the upcoming film "Creed 2." But there is a caveat for those looking to land a role.

PHILADELPHIA – Ever want to be on the big screen? Well you have a chance to earn that opportunity right here in Philadelphia and be part of one of Philly's most iconic tales, as the newest installment in the "Rocky" franchise is casting Philly locals.
However, there is a catch.
"Creed 2" – the sequel to the hit 2015 film "Creed" that featured Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa as the trainer of Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan), Apollo Creed's son – is casting in Philadelphia, but the casting agency is looking for people who are fluent in Russian.

In a Facebook post, Heery-Loftus Casting said it's looking for real Philadelphians who can speak and read the language.
Why Russian? The villian in "Creed 2" will be the son of Ivan Drago, Rocky Balboa's most infamous opponent.
