Noble Street Bridge Closed Indefinitely: Philly Streets Department
Officials said the closure is due to deficient portions of the bridge's steel support beams, which cannot safely carry the legal loads.

PHILADELPHIA — The Noble Street Bridge over 13th Street is indefinitely closed, according to Philadelphia officials.
Department of Streets Commissioner Kristin Del Rossi said the Noble Street Bridge over 13th Street, between Broad Street and 12th Street, is closed.
Officials said the closure is due to deficient portions of the steel support beams, which cannot safely carry the legal loads.

The bridge is closed to all traffic and no detour will be posted.
Warning signage will be installed along Broad Street and Noble Street to alert the traveling public.

The Noble Street roadway will be barricaded at both ends of the bridge.
Two-way local traffic will be permitted on Noble Street approaching the bridge from Broad Street and from 12th Street.
The Rail Park will stay open, and the public will still have access to the trail and park system during the bridge closure.
Pedestrian and bicyclist through traffic on Noble Street will cross over 13th Street in the Rail Park instead of the roadway portion of the bridge.
