PHILADELPHIA — Opposing groups have gathered outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia where the city's mail-in ballots are being counted.

A "Count Every Vote" group is posted up outside the building at 12th and Arch streets, as well as a group of President Donald Trump's supporters.

The groups have led to the closure of the intersection at 12th and Arch in Center City near the Reading Terminal Market and convention center.

Count Every Vote protesters took to the streets in Philadelphia Wednesday night. The group eventually merged with a group protesting the police killing of Walter Wallace Jr. No incidents were reported during the events Wednesday.

Earlier in the morning, former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and senior campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski showed up at the convention center with a court's order allowing them to get as close as 6 feet to vote counters after challenging the initial rule that they could not get that close.

The Trump campaign Wednesday sued to stop the counting of votes in Pennsylvania.

The campaign says it's suing to halt the counting of votes over concerns about "transparency," attempting to intervene in existing Supreme Court litigation over Pennsylvania's three-day extension for mail-in ballots and filing suit to challenge an extension of the deadline for mail-in and absentee voters to provide proof identification.

As of 11:50 a.m. Thursday, more than 581,160 mail-in ballots have yet to be counted in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia accounts for 104,607 of those remaining mail-in ballots.

According to the state, Trump leads with 3,225,599 votes. Biden has 3,092,986 as of 11:50 a.m.
