Outdoor Dining On 2nd Street In Philly Postponed
Officials postponed the "East StrEats" street dining plan for Saturday due to concerns over weather and logistics to ensure safety.
PHILADELPHIA — Officials in Philadelphia have postponed the outdoor dining event planned for Saturday in the city's Northern Liberties neighborhood.
North Second Street in Northern Liberties was to be closed to vehicular traffic between Germantown to Spring Garden from noon and 8 p.m. Saturday for people to dine outdoors and stroll the street without vehicles.
However, the Office of Transportation Infrastructure and Sustainability asked that Northern Liberties Business Improvement District postpone the street closure.

The postponement come due to concerns over weather and the need for more time to coordinate on logistical issues so any concerns over public health and safety could be more addressed.
City officials will continue to work with the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District to ensure the rescheduled closure is a success.
