1 PA Prison Escapee Captured, Accused Murderer Still At Large
Authorities took Nasir Grant into custody Thursday after he escaped from a Philadelphia prison Sunday night. Ameen Hurst is still at large.

PHILADELPHIA — One of the two men who escaped from a Philadelphia prison earlier this week has been caught, according to authorities.
Nasir Grant, 24, was taken into custody Thursday in Philadelphia at 28th and Dauphin streets, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Grant and Ameen Hurst, 18, escaped from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center at 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Grant was being held on narcotics and gun violations.
According to Action News, Grant was disguised as a woman when he was taken into custody.

Hurst was being held on murder charges after authorities said he killed four people. He is accused of shooting and killing a man on Christmas Eve 2020, shooting and killing two people and hurting two others in March 2021, and fatally shooting and killing a man outside the same facility he escaped from about a week later. Hurst is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Grant and Hurst escaped through a fence that they cut a hole in, according to authorities.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to Hurst's arrest by the U.S. Marshals Service. The city has also set a reward for $20,000 for information that leads to Hurst's arrest.
Hurst is about 6 feet tall, has black hair and brown eyes, and a tattoo on his left arm reading "ONLY THE FAM!!"
Authorities have also charged 21-year-old Xianni Stalling, 21, with conspiracy, hindering apprehension, and more crimes in connection with their escape. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Stalling spoke on the phone with one of the two escapees before they made their way out of the facility. Authorities told the Inquirer that she is believed to have helped them find a ride after their escape.
