Philadelphia July 4th Fireworks, Parades and More: 2018 Guide

PHILADELPHIA – The Fourth of July and midsummer fireworks season is nearly here. And we have a some details on fireworks displays happening in Philadelphia in the coming weeks.

On Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30, the Phillies are hosting the Washington Nationals at Citizen's Bank Park and each game will close with fireworks shows.

The June 29 game begins at 7:05 p.m. and the June 30 game at 6:05 p.m.

Also on Saturday, June 30 will be the free fireworks show at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing as part of the Wawa Welcome America Festival.

The show will follow a performance of the United States Army Band "Pershing’s Own," which begins at 8 p.m.

Fireworks are set to begin at 9:30 p.m.

The Great Plaza at Penn's Landing is located at 101 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard.

Then on Independence Day itself, there will be two fireworks displays.

First, the Freedom Festival in Camden's Wiggins Park will host its Fireworks Spectacular over the Delaware River at 9:30 p.m.

Prior to the fireworks, music from The Spinners and Eddie Money will fill the waterfront area.

The festival is free to attend.

Finally, at 10 p.m. on July 4, the Welcome America festival will launch its fireworks show into the sky on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Fireworks will follow a concert with rapper Pitbull as the headliner, which begins at 7 p.m.

Festival organizers say this year's firework display will be the largest in more than 10 years.

The concert and fireworks will be held at 2451 Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
