PHILADELPHIA, PA —A man from Philadelphia faces multiple federal charges in connection with the January 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol building, according to the FBI.

Michael James Dickinson, 30, was arrested Thursday and appeared in Eastern District of Pennsylvania court that afternoon, the FBI says. According to the FBI, the charges he face include "assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers; civil disorder; and engaging in physical violence on restricted grounds."

According to a criminal complaint, someone submitted a tip identifying Dickinson in footage of the Capitol riots that had been posted on Twitter. Body-worn camera footage from the Metropolitan Police Department shows Dickinson throwing an object at law enforcement, documents say. Other video footage shows him throwing liquid and a bucket onto officers, according to the criminal complaint.

Based on hospital records, law enforcement databases, and the shirt Dickinson is seen wearing, the FBI was able to connect him to the Capitol riots, records show.
