Philadelphia Man To Go On Trial For Killing Seagull: Report

The whole thing could be over if the accused paid a $250 fine, but he instead decided to take the case to trial.

PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia man opted for a trial rather than pay a relatively small fine after being accused of killing a seagull at New Jersey beach this summer.

According to the Cape May Herald, Andrew Frost, 56, of Philadelphia, recently rejected a plea deal that would have only had him paying a $250 civil fine for allegedly killing the bird in August at a Sea Isle City, New Jersey beach.

Now Frost faces a trial on Nov. 16 where he could be convicted of a disorderly person charge, which could result in fines ranging from $250 to $1,000, the outlet reports.
