Philadelphia Pizzeria Owner Dies In Colorado Skiing Accident
The owner of Rustica pizza in Northern Liberties died this weekend after falling headfirst into trees at a Colorado skiing resort.

PHILADELPHIA — The owner of a popular Philadelphia pizzeria died recently while skiing in Colorado, according to officials and reports.
Frank Maimone, 53, owner of Rustica pizzeria in Northern Liberties, died Saturday while skiing at a resort in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, NBC10 reports.
Rustica's staff members confirmed Maimone's death to Patch Tuesday, however they declined to comment on his passing.

According to Steamboat Resort, Maimone was found unresponsive at approximately 3:25 p.m. in the area at the bottom of a trail.
Ski Patrol arrive at about 3:30 p.m. and administered advanced life support.

Maimone was transported to UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according otot the resort.
Rustica, located at 903 N. 2nd St., opened in 2001.
Patch has reached out to the Routt County Coroner for more information and will update the story when details are made available.
