Phillies Fan Holding Baby Catches Home Run Ball

Despite the Phillies' losing to the Dodgers via the home run in question, we can all smile at the dad holding his baby who caught the ball.

PHILADELPHIA – Sometimes fans make plays that are more notable than the athletes they are watching, and exactly that happened during Monday's Phillies game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

At Monday's home game, a fan made an epic catch.

What was so epic about it was the fact he was holding a baby.

Though the Phillies lost in the ninth inning, the lucky – and skilled – fan caught a home run ball hit by Dodgers third baseman Maikel Franco (his second of the night and the winning homer of the game).

Despite the loss, the catch is something we can smile about.
