Phillies, Eagles Requiring Masks When Indoors At Stadiums

Both teams strongly encourage unvaccinated fans to wear masks at all times when at the park.

PHILADELPHIA — Masks are coming back to Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field, at least in the indoor areas, starting Thursday.

The Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles announced that fans will be required to wear masks while in indoor areas of the stadiums.

At Citizens Bank Park, these indoor areas include the Diamond Club (except while actively eating or drinking), New Era Phillies Team Store, ’47 Alley Store, elevators, and restrooms.

The Eagles did not specify which indoor areas require masks.

These decisions come after Philadelphia officials announced masks are required in any business or institution that does not ask for proof of vaccination on entry.

Breaking from the city's guidance, fans at Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field must wear masks while indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Fans do not need to wear masks while seated or in other outdoor areas of the ballpark or football stadium.

Both teams strongly encourage unvaccinated fans to wear masks at all times when at the park.

Fans who want to be distanced from others can choose 3-foot socially distanced pod seating in sections 109, 145, 303, 328, and 429 at Citizens Bank Park.
