Philly Among Top 15 Best Cities For Coffee Lovers: WalletHub

Hey Philly coffee lovers: our city is among the best places to get a cup of java in the United States. We also have a lot of donut shops!

PHILADELPHIA – We really love our coffee. Like, everyone seems to love coffee. Whether it's black, cold brewed, blended, iced, loaded with cream and sugar, and all the other iterations of it: we love it.

And Philadelphia is among the top 15 cities in the United States for coffee lovers, according to WalletHub.

WalletHub recently looked at 14 different factors – including coffee prices, the numbers of coffee shops with free wifi, and number of adult coffee drinkers, among others – in 100 largest cities in the United States to determine the coffee-friendliness of the cities.

And Philadelphia was ranked No. 14.

In addition, Philly was No. 3 when WalletHub ranked cities with the most donut shops per capita.

WalletHub also examined coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés per capita to average price per pack of coffee.

Which were the top cities for coffee lovers, you ask?

You may be surprise to see that Seattle was No. 2, as it is home to coffee giant Starbucks. But it was New York City that earned the No. 1 spot.

San Francisco, Portland, Oregon, and Los Angeles rounded out the top 5, respectively.

Our neighbors to the west in Pittsburgh were ranked No. 18.
