"To all of our guests, staff, and friends, we are aware of a situation that unfolded last night away from the bar," the post read. "We won't be commenting at this time, but to condemn in the strongest possible terms the incident circulating social media. We want to assure our new community that the bar and restaurant is much more than any one individual, and the actions of one individual is not a reflection of who we are and what we stand for. We will do everything in our power to instill your trust in us once again.

"We at Say No More Kensington stand against all forms of assault, violence, and domestic abuse. We stand with all victims of these terrible actions," the statement concluded.

That was the second statement issued by the establishment. The first specifically mentioned one of the establishment's co-owners, saying it had plans to cut ties with the co-owner.

Asplundh-Smith was released on $75,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 22, court records show.
