Philly Boston Markets Disappear, 'Philly Markets' Pop Up

With anticipation ramping up for the Eagles' Super Bowl appearance against the Patriots, the Philly locations are re branding for the Birds.

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia area business continue to boycott all things New England in anticipation of the Eagles' Super Bowl appearance where they will take on the New England Patriots.

With extreme fandom of Philly sports and nearly a national hate for the Patriots, their quarterback Tom Brady, and head coach Bill Belichick, Philadelphia Boston Markets are taking sides. And taking the right side.

Some Boston Market locations in Philadelphia have a new name for now.

Locations have been re branded "Philly Market" in support of the Birds and in the face of the Boston Market namesake's team.

This is nothing new in the past week, as the Museum of the American Revolution in Old City renamed "Patriots Gallery" to "Eagles Gallery" and a West Philly donut shop put the kibosh on selling Boston cream donuts.

It's a two-way street however, as businesses in the Patriots region have banned Philadelphia Cream Cheese and other Philly-related items.
