Philly Burger Joint Named One Of Nation's Best By Thrillist

PHILADELPHIA – America has a long-running love affair with hamburgers, and a Philadelphia burger spot was named to Thrillist’s list of the 31 best burger joints in America.

The Philly burgers that Thrillist decided are among of the best in the country are served at Sketch Burger in the Fishtown neighborhood.

Thrillist’s national burger critic, Kevin Alexander, chose Sketch Burger's Sirloin Beef Burger with American and Grilled Onions Philadelphia's best burger in 2017.

"It has a perfectly loose grind and nearly falls apart in places, but is somehow held together by the American cheese, which melts perfectly into the meat alongside the well-cooked grilled onions," Alexander said of the burger. "It isn’t expensive or stunt-y. It’s just the best burger in Philadelphia."

Sketch Burger is located at 413 E. Girard Ave. in Fishtown. The Sirloin Beef Burger costs $7.50 without the cheese or onions.
