Philly Cop, Homeowner Shot During Robbery Incident Tuesday

Not only were the officer and homeowner shot, two other officers were hurt in a crash while taking the suspect to a hospital.

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia Police officer and a homeowner were shot during a robbery incident Tuesday night, according to reports.

The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. on the 400 block of Harlan Street, NBC10 reports.

An officer was in the area for a report of a robbery.

While speaking with the victim at his home, the officer saw a man matching the suspect's description, Action News reports.

The officer chased the man, who then shot the officer in the shoulder twice and the homeowner in the leg once, according to Fox 29.

The suspect late shot himself in the head.

While taking the suspect to a hospital, two officers were involved in a crash and were hurt, Action News reports.

All injured parties were taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

NBC10 reports all are in stable condition and expected to survive.
