Philly Cop Hurt In Crash While Riding Motorcycle To Work
Officer Andy Chan was hit by a vehicle while driving his motorcycle work in Northeast Philadelphia Thursday evening, according to police.

PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia Police officer was struck by a vehicle while he was riding his motorcycle to work in Northeast Philadelphia Thursday night, police said.
Officer Andy Chan, 48, was struck riding his motorcycle on the 3100 block of Rhawn Street at about 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
Chan was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with significant head injuries, police said.

The driver who struck him remained on scene, police said.
According to police, Chan is married with three children and is a 24-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department assigned to Highway Patrol.
