Philly To Host 6 Matches Of 2026 World Cup
The matches will coincide with the 250th anniversary of America's founding.
PHILADLEPHIA, PA — Philadelphia will find itself on another world stage in 2026, as Fifa has announced that several World Cup matches will be played in the City of Brotherly Love.
A total of six games will be hosted in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field, Fifa said. Five of those matches will be in the group stage, along with one in the round of 16.
The round of 16 game will be held on the Fourth of July, which will coincide with the 250th anniversary of America's founding.

- July 4 (Round of 16)
The Major League Baseball All Star game will also be hosted by Philadelphia in the summer of 2026, making for a busy summer on the national and global stage for the city.
