Philly Law Students Take 1st, 2nd In Mock Trial Competition
Students from Drexel and Temple universities recently competed in Montgomery County's 19th Annual Summer Intern Mock Trial Competition.

PHILADELPHIA — The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced winners of its 19th Annual Summer Intern Mock Trial Competition. Three law students from Drexel and Temple universities took first and second places.
Drexel University Thomas L. Kline School of Law student Kimberly Kaelin and Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law student Karla Pisarcik and were the victors in the annual competition.
Jonathan Parrish of Temple University Beasley School of Law and Robert Waeltz from Drexel finished second in the competition.

Eleven second-year law students competed in a week-long competition that ended Aug. 9 in the Montgomery County Courthouse.

The mock trial contained legal hurdles and factual challenges to create a more difficult case for the competitors.
Other interns acted as witnesses and detectives in the trial and county officials, including District Attorney Kevin Steele, served as the jury and judge.
