Philly Music Venue Hosting Month Of Women-Focused Events
The Fallser Club will celebrate Women's History Month with "Women Rising: A Month-Long Celebration of Women's History, Music, & Resilience."

PHILADELPHIA — The Fallser Club in Philadelphia's East Falls neighborhood is celebrating Women’s History Month with a slate of events that will showcase female musicians, fine artists, comedians, and filmmakers.
"Women Rising: A Month-Long Celebration of Women's History, Music, & Resilience" begins Sunday and runs through March 26 at The Fallser Club.
Throughout the month, fine artist Anne Pollard James’s artwork from The Delight Project will be on display at the club. Women Rising immediately follows February’s month-long programming dedicated to Black Excellence, which the Philadelphia Inquirer called a “winning” celebration.

The month begins with a screening of "Lady Parts" on Sunday. Writer/executive producer Bonnie Gross and director Nancy Boyd both pull from their own, horrifically cringe-worthy experiences navigating vaginal pain and the difficulties women face receiving treatment. The film will be followed by an expert panel on sexual health with an audience Q&A.
Programming also includes Voices of Philly Soul: Acoustic Sessions with Carla Gamble & Friends, Philly Loves Lilith: A Tribute to the Lilith Fair presented by Women in Music’s Philadelphia Chapter alongside Calliope Coalition, Philly Live Desi Vibe with Sudha Sai & Rushil, Swing That Cat, Back to Amy: A Tribute to Amy Winehouse with Su Teears, the film Girl Unbound: The War to Be Her, Fawziyya Heart and Alice Wallace, Singer Songwriters in the Round: Gina Kaz, Madisun Bailey, Nicole Zell, and more.

In Anne Pollard James’ The Delight Project, the artist paints the spectacular strength of women on large-scale canvas in an act of radical reclamation, "taking back the truths of our bodies along with the stories that live within them."
“As part of our continued dedication to centering women, LGBTQIA+, and POC artists, we’re honored to highlight incredible creators through Women Rising this March," Executive Director Ashana Larsen, said. "The Fallser Club is a home for connection, safety, and joy—this month we gather to hold each other up and celebrate the brilliance within our community."
