Philly Neighbors Among Most Annoying In US, Poll Shows

PHILADELPHIA – Chances are if you live in Philadelphia, you hate your neighbors.

At least that's according to poll results from home improvement website Improvenet.

And Philadelphia was ranked No. 4 for having the most annoying neighbors when the poll was closed.

Across 24 cities, 2,500 people were polled by Improvenet.

The poll looked at various aspects of neighbor perception, including confrontation levels, the impact of 36 varying annoyances (smells, litter, sounds, and even decorations), and the overall level of frustration.

Philly was ranked the worst city for loud neighbors, the worst for ugly landscaping, and of course the worst for parking (it wouldn't be Philly without parking issues).

We came in second for general grumpiness, boundary disputes, ugly homes, and for missing mail and newspapers.

Despite all that, Philly wasn't featured in the top 10 cities for confrontations.

Overall, Dallas, Miami, Austin, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, and San Diego were the top 10 most annoying neighbor cities.
