PHILADELPHIA — St. Patrick's Day is nearly here and Philadelphia is gearing up for the return of its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Sunday.

And as it turns out, Philadelphia is the best city for St. Paddy's Day celebrations, according to WalletHub.

WalletHub compared 200 of the largest cities across 18 key metrics to find the best places to wear green and save some, too. The data set ranges from Irish pubs and restaurants per capita to the lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day to the weather forecast.

With all factors considered, WalletHub determined Philadelphia is the best city for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

The City of Brotherly Love beat out cities such as Boston and Chicago, despite their large Irish communities.

WalletHub also found Philadelphia has the fifth most Irish pubs per capita among the cities examined.

Philly also was tied for first for the fewest DUI-related fatalities per capita with four other cities.
