Philly Slips In 'Best Cities For St Paddy's Day' Rankings

PHILADELPHIA — Despite a beloved Philadelphia bar being named the best Irish bar in the country, Philadelphia's rank among the best cities for St. Patrick's Day celebration's slipped in WalletHub's annual rankings.
Philadelphia in 2023 was ranked the second-best city in the nation to celebrate the Irish holiday.
But for 2024, Philadelphia wasn't even included in the top 10 cities for St. Paddy's revelry.

WalletHub looked at four key dimensions — St. Patrick’s Day traditions, costs, safety and accessibility and St. Patrick’s Day weather — and then evaluated those with 15 different metrics to come up with scores representing the best conditions for celebrating the holiday.
With all factors considered, Philly was No. 12 on the list.

Even with a lower rank than last year, WalletHub ranked Philly's traditions No. 2, just behind Chicago, which was the No. 2 city for St. Patrick's Day overall.
