'Philly Special Christmas' Breaks Top 10 Billboard Album Charts
The benefit album also hit No. 1 on Billboard's Compilation Albums and No. 9 debut on Billboard's Top Album Sales, the outlet reports.

PHILADELPHIA — It turns out if you get a group of NFL offensive linemen together to sing Christmas songs for a good cause, people will pay for it.
According to Billboard, the charity album "Philly Special Christmas" has broken into the top tiers of album charts.
The outlet reports the benefit album featuring Jason Kelce, Jordan Milata, Lane Johnson, and other Eagles players — in addition to numerous Philly-area musicians — reached the top 10 on four Billboard album charts.

Billboard said the album his No. 1 on the Compilation Albums chart; No. 4 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, No. 8 on Independent Albums, and No. 9 on Top Album Sales.
Additionally, the album hit No. 26 on Top Holiday Albums and No. 80 on the Billboard 200.

These charts are dated Jan. 7, reflecting the tracking week ending Dec. 29, 2022, Billboard said.
Album sales generated $250,000 for the Children's Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia.
The album's vinyl edition sold out twice, prompting a third and final round of sales.
Recorded at Rittenhouse Soundworks, Silent Partners, and Elm St studio, proceeds from the album will be donated to the Children’s Treatment Crisis Center in Philadelphia.
This summer, Kelce, Johnson, Jordan Mailata, Connor Barwin, and War on Drugs Drummer Charlie Hall joined forces to record "A Philly Special Christmas."
The seven song album features classic holiday songs and performances from the aforementioned players as well as Marshall Allen (Sun Ra Arkestra), Rob Hyman (The Hooters), Eric Bazilian (The Hooters), Lady Alma, Zach Miller (Dr. Dog), Robbie Bennett (The War on Drugs), Eliza Hardy Jones (The War on Drugs), Brandon Beaver (MeWithoutYou), Thomas Hughes (The Spinto Band), Randy Huth (Pissed Jeans), Nick Krill (The Spinto Band, Teen Men), Nasir Dickerson, Kaila Vandever, Mike “Slo-Mo” Brenner, and The Silver Ages.
Eagles announcer Merrill Reese and players Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, Brandon Graham, Haason Reddick, and Jordan Davis all make appearances.
"It's amazing how talented these guys are and cool to see Philly's music and sports worlds come together to create something special for the holidays," Barwin said. "I'm proud that everyone involved wanted to do something good with this record by donating proceeds to the annual toy drive at the Children's Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia to help bring a little joy to families during the holidays."
