And Philadelphia is one of the best cities for college basketball fans, according to some new information from WalletHub.
WalletHub released 2019’s Best Cities for College Basketball Fans. And Philadelphia was ranked in the top 10.

To find 2019’s top spots for NCAA hoops, WalletHub looked at the numbers on more than 280 U.S. cities using nine key metrics ranging from the number of teams per city and the winning percentage of each, to stadium capacity and social-media engagement.

Philadelphia was ranked at No. 7 overall, and No. 2 among large cities.
It likely helps that Villanova University on the Main Line is a powerhouse on the collegiate basketball level.
The Wildcats won the national championship in 2018, 2016, and 1985.
March 17 is Selection Sunday, when the NCAA selection committee announces all 68 tournament teams, and ends with the Final Four and championship game three weeks later.
Lawrence, Kansas was ranked in the top spot nationwide.
