Amazon Offering Free 2-Hour Whole Foods Delivery In Philly Area

PHILADELPHIA – Fans of Whole Foods Market in the Philadelphia area who are also members of Amazon Prime have a convenient new feature they can take advantage of thanks to the online retail giant's acquisition of the grocer.

On Tuesday, June 12, Amazon and Whole Foods Market announced that Philadelphia-area Amazon Prime members can get free two-hour delivery of Whole Foods products.

Prime members in the area can shop through Prime Now and get their items delivered in two hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the announcement.

If you need your items even faster, customers can pay $7.99 on orders of $35 or more for a one-hour delivery.

"We’ve been delighted with the customer response to free two-hour delivery through Prime Now, and we’re excited to bring the service to our customers in Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Richmond," said Christina Minardi, Whole Foods Market Executive Vice President of Operations. "Today’s announcement is another way that we are continuing to expand access to our high-quality products and locally-sourced favorites."

Amazon Prime memberships cost $119. A student membership is $59.

The delivery radius reaches as far as west West Chester, as far north as Hatfield and as far east as Mount Holly, according to a Whole Foods Market representative.
