Philly's First Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens Wednesday

Fishtown is home to Philadelphia's first medical marijuana dispensary and approved patients can get their medicine now.

PHILADELPHIA – Philly's first medical marijuana dispensary is officially open as of Wednesday, May 30.

Restore Integrative Wellness Center opened its doors at 11 a.m. on May 30, making it the first to offer approved medical marijuana patients their medicine within the city limits.

Located at 957 Frankford Ave. in Fishtown, the newly-opened center touts "the widest selection of products of any dispensary in Pennsylvania."

Patients must have a valid medical marijuana ID card to purchase products from the center.

There are 21 qualifying conditions that are included in Pennsylvania's medical marijuana program, which was signed into law in 2016. Those include cancer, autism, sickle cell anemia, epilepsy, and more.
