Philly's La Colombe Coffee Trying Self-Heating Cans
Just twist the bottom of the can, wait two minutes, and then enjoy your heated coffee.

PHILADELPHIA — Philly's own La Colombe Coffee Roasters is trying out a new way to keep customer's coffee hot.
The popular coffee company is piloting self-heating cans for its shelved beverages.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the roasters are teaming up with HeatGen, a self-heating packaging company, to offer the self-heating cans at Wegman's and La Colombe's flagship location on Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia.

According to HeatGen, the cans are simple to use.
All you need to do is wist the bottom cap 90 degrees to activate the heater, wait two minutes, then open and enjoy.

Even with the heating technology, the cans are recyclable, the company says.
Action News reports the cans will be sold at other La Colombe cafés in Philadelphia next week.
Available flavors are regular and milk and sugar, the Inquirer reports.
