Police Seeking Shooting Suspect Considered Armed and Dangerous

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are asking for help locating a shooting suspect who is considered armed and dangerous.

According to police, James White, 33, is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred Thursday.

At about 9:15 a.m., police were called to the 800 block of Welton Street for a person with a gun.

Police said a 29-year-old woman was shot in the chest and abdomen; she was taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where she is in stable condition.

According to police, White left the shooting area in a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee with black rims and a Pennsylvania tag of LSH-8292.

White is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown eyes and a full beard with a mustache.

He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
