(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania): Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH), as part of its lifelong commitment to shedding light on triad voices, is back again with this summer’s ‘Heart To Heart’ event! Thursday, July 14, 2022, AFTH is being joined by Adoptees to discuss openness, navigating conversations, support from the adoption community, and so much more!
One special guest joining the discussion is activist and entrepreneur Isaac Etter. Isaac was transracially adopted at the age of two and has dedicated his life to helping equip adoptive parents with the tools they need to succeed in transracial adoption. As part of that mission to educate families, Isaac recently released ‘Practical Guide to Transracial Adoption,’ an e-book that provides clear steps and open conversations to have with your adopted child at each stage of their lives; to help them thrive despite the traumatic circumstances.
Isaac’s book is intended to be the foundation and starting point for all adoptive families who may struggle with the right things to say and do when raising a transracial adoptee. Adoption can be a little scary and often is uncharted territory for most. Isaac, a transracial adoptee, created ‘A practical Guide to Transracial Adoption’ to make it a little easier.
