Philly Summer Festival Headliners: Grammy Winners, 'Queen Of Broadway,' And More Announced

The Welcome America festival is expanding its events from Juneteenth to July 4 as USA 250 approaches.

PHILADELPHIA — Queen Latifah, Idina Menzel, Eve and DJ Jazzy Jeff are among the headliners performing at 2026 Wawa Welcome America events leading up to the nation's 250th-anniversary celebration on Independence Day.

The 16-day festival runs from Juneteenth through July 4 with events across the city. This year will feature an expanded lineup for the U.S. Semiquincentennial.

Here are some of the headliners:

  • Queen Latifah: the Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guilt and NAACP Image Award-winning rapper and actor will headline The U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus in front of Independence Hall on July 2.
  • Idina Menzel: the Tony Award-winning "Queen of Broadway" will headline with the Philly Pops in front of Independence Hall on July 3.
  • Eve: the Philly-born, Grammy-winning rapper and actor will headline the Celebration of Black Music Month concert on June 24.
  • DJ Jazzy Jeff: the DJ and Philly native will headline The Annual Juneteenth Block Party at the African American Museum.
  • Kirk Franklin: the 20-time Grammy-winning gospel artist will headline the Gospel on Independence Concert in front of Independence Hall on June 27.
  • Trixie Mattel: the drag queen and New York Times best-selling author will host the Philadelphia Orchestra Free Pride Concert and Celebration on June 30 at Independence National Historic Park.
