Ramp From Roosevelt Expressway To I-76 West Closed Due To Crash
A large vehicle crashed into a bridge on the ramp Tuesday afternoon, closing the ramp indefinitely until PennDOT can repair it.
PHILADELPHIA — The ramp to westbound Interstate 76 and City Avenue on the Roosevelt Expressway/U.S. 1 in Philadelphia is closed due to structural damage on the bridge, PennDOT said.
Drivers are now being detoured to avoid the closure.
During the closure, motorists will be directed to use eastbound I-76, Montgomery Avenue, and westbound I-76.

The ramp will remain closed until PennDOT bridge engineers and its contractor can make the necessary repairs to safely reopen the ramp.

During the closure, motorists are advised to follow the posted detour routes.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
